Rick Prebeg | Rick lives in Columbus, Ohio, USA. For the past 10 years, Rick has coordinated the production of the successful TV series, "Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures." He has worked with Jack Hanna for more than 24 years, handling all of his photography and many other aspects of Jungle Jack's ventures while traveling 35 countries. Rick's writing- and photo credits are numerous, including Jack Hanna's Safari Adventure, What Zookeepers Do, Wild about Babies, and many others.

Chris Prior | Chris Prior lives in Buckinghamshire, England. He has recently graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and has developed a passion for photography after a trip around the world he had completed in the summer of 2005. Chris truly enjoyed getting so close to the koalas in the zoo.

Amanda Rhode | Amanda was raised in rural Queensland, surrounded by national parks and a lot of native Australian animals including emus, platypi, koalas, and reptiles. After moving, Amanda fell in love first with computers and then cameras. She now lives in Brisbane, Queensland. Amanda spends most of her time shooting models and is a productive stock photographer.

Meredith Ricker | Meredith lives Dover, New Hampshire, USA. Employed at an academic library, where she works with the library's digital collections, Meredith is a photo hobbyist with a strong interest in birds, animals, and nature photography. While Meredith has concerns about zoos, she believes there is no other way for her to see this animal in person.

Diane Robertson | Diane is based in Carrollton, Texas, USA, where she works as a hospital chaplain, a wedding-, and baptism minister. Her hobby is taking photographs in her travels. Diane thinks koalas are interesting little creatures, and she had to move quickly to get a photo of them while still awake.

Keith Russell | Keith was born in London and now makes his home in Browns Bay, Auckland, New Zealand. On his regularly travels, he enjoys different cultures, settings, and local wildlife. A software engineer with a keen interest in digital photography, Keith always has a camera close at hand.

Paulus Rusyanto | Born in Indonesia, Paulus now makes his home in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, where he works as a freelance designer and photographer while also pursuing a Master's degree in Creative Advertising. He equally enjoys traveling and photography.

Andreas Rynes | At home in Vienna, Austria, Andreas is fascinated by other cultures and ancient civilizations. His travels, in which he always has a camera within reach, have included East Africa and Egypt. Andy believes that photography provides a perfect opportunity to focus on environments we often take for granted, and he aims to share uniquely beautiful, yet fleeting moments with the viewer.

Catherine Saunders | Catherine is based in Staines, England with her husband Alan and two children Cei and Maya. Appreciative of the glorious Australian flora and fauna, she often visits her mother in New South Wales where the adorable photograph of her daughter Maya with a baby koala was taken.

Bernd Schüttke | Bernd lives in Berlin, Germany as well as Auckland, New Zealand. A travel photographer for thirty years, Bernd teaches photography in Berlin. Bernd has studied geography as well as photography and has fulfilled his life-long dream of traveling around the world and snapping photos along the way. His favorite slogan is, "photography means more than just taking pictures."

Carla Sluiter | Carla lives in Diemen near Amsterdam, where she works as a Human Resources Manager. Carla has had the opportunity to volunteer at the koala hospital in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia, after which she started the Dutch Koala Hospital Foundation, acting as the fundraising manager for Holland. In-line skating, aromatherapy, and growing herbs which she processes into skin products, are among her many varied hobbies.

Tijmen Smit | Tijmen is native to Dordrecht, near Rotterdam, Netherland, where he works for an advertising agency, creating brochures, magazine ads, and websites. His hobbies include sports, photography, and traveling. Tijmen loves how friendly Australians are. He can't wait to return to Australia to enjoy its majestic natural environment and take many more pictures.

Stuart Taylor | Stuart lives in Selangor, Malaysia. His featured photograph was shot at the Sydney Zoo, where the serenity and beauty of the koala simply took him. It felt good to take the time for composing his shot‹unlike with fast moving wildlife‹which he has also photographed on many occasions before.

Jane Thompson | Jane lives in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia with her husband and two boys. She has a passion for Australian wildlife and nature with a particular fondness for bird watching. Jane works as a research officer in an environmental organization in Brisbane. Jane noticed how nothing was going to disturb the little fellow in her photograph from his mid-morning snooze.

Bodin Tiranatvitayakul | Bodin was born in Bangkok, Thailand. He recently moved to Melbourne, Australia to pursue his studies in IT Business Systems. With his digital SLR camera, Bodin likes to snap night images of Melbourne and photograph landscapes. He likes to improve his photography skills with the help of magazines, books, website forums, and a lot of practice.

Tracy Toh | Born in Malaysia, Tracy now lives in Perth, Western Australia, where she works as Web systems consultant. Tracy loves to keep up-to-date on the newest photography tips to enrich her hobby and is always happy to improve her skills. Tracy would like to add that, "I am amazed by the nature God created and love to capture and share it through my photographs."

Diane L. Tong | Australian born, Diane lives in Shanghai, China. She holds a Masters Degree in Science and works in the field of Research and Development. Diane's journeys have taken her to many parts of Asia, Europe, America, and the Pacific Islands. Digital cameras have enabled her to take up photography as a hobby with emphasis on nature-, street-, and macro photography.

Ella Towers | Ella lives in Guisborough, located in the northeast of England, where she works as a Web programmer. Ella is an amateur photographer with a particular interest in wildlife- and landscape subjects. Other hobbies include running, mountain biking, hiking, motorcycling, and traveling.

Mark Underwood | While Mark lives in Glen Cove, New York, he can't wait to return to his native Australia after living in many places around the world. Mark misses the clean, fresh, bright country, its beaches and the surf, the sound of crazy Kookaburras­‹and gum trees, in which you just might catch a lucky, rare glimpse of a lazy koala snoozing away after overindulging in eucalyptus leaves.

Sylvie Van den Bossche | Sylvie lives in Evergem Wippelgem, Belgium. She has spent a year in Seattle, Washington, USA and has volunteered at the koala hospital of Port Macquarie, New South Wales before. She actively supports koala preservation efforts, has organized numerous fundraising events for the Australian Koala Foundation and the hospital, and moderates as well as contributes to several koala online discussion groups.

Justin Viiret | Justin makes his home in Mt. Osmond, South Australia. Justin is a telecommunications and software engineer who is about to complete a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering. Justin feels lucky since koalas wander through his backyard about once a week. His hobbies include film—particularly world film, literature, skiing, and tennis.

Kallun Willock | Kallun lives in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia, where he studies at a Japanese University. He became interested in koalas while working as a Japanese translator at a koala park. He was eventually trained as a koala handler and was then able to spend most of his days getting paid to do what he loved to do—taking care of koalas!

Marilyn Wirth | At home in Largo, Florida, USA, Marilyn teaches grade school. She has a keen interest in wildlife as well as photography and finds that her trip to Australia in 2004 was one of her most rewarding vacations to date. As Marilyn had never seen live koalas before, she quickly became became fascinated by their unique personalities and was amazed about how soft their fur was.

Simon Woolley | A professional photographer based in Canberra, Australia, Simon has always been keen on photography and computers. Wildlife photography, alongside motor sport-, portrait-, landscape-, and abstract art photography, is one of his many passions. Simon loves his portable battery-powered hard drive, which allows him to store thousands of photos while traveling.

Russell Woolnough | Russel lives in Thornbury, Victoria, Australia. Russel has an electrical engineering background.
